  It's Not just a picture of his dog.....it's a picture of his favorite dog who as he tells it stuck with him through thick and thin, helping him through his great depression, only to die before his nomination. The pin and necklace were his way of making sure his "dog" joined in his celebration. Yeah, Mickey looks a whole lot different, but this is his evolution, lighten up folks.

  WoW... he doesn't look ANYTHING like what he use to look like... maybe he's earned the right as you say, but it's a shame that he punished himself so much that he looks so beaten down. Not sure what happened...

  There are some people who have earned the right to get away with doing exactly what they want -- 20 years ago (and to this day) it was Cher. Mickey is another. They are the spice in the Hollywood stew. The dog-memorial jewelry make this more than just being outrageous, it is a person. He is who he is, and I'm glad for it.
