Heath Andrew Ledger was born on April 4th, 1979 in Perth, Western Australia. He began acting as a child and graduated high school early to pursue a career. He got his first paying jobs on Australian television at 17, and played the lead in the short-lived Fox TV action show "Roar" in 1997.
