Melissa Leo is a fine actress. Gone from strong TV to excellent, but few, movie roles. I'm cheering for her.

a courageous and heartfelt performance. I was very impressed and taken by surprise. I hadn't even heard of this film, then saw it and was blown away by this woman's grit and intensity; much more convincing than Meryl's histrionics. The Academy should take a chance and give it to her.

This is a raw and impressive work from an actress who shows nothing but strenght and intelligence. I wish she wins and gets the chance to do more interesting work.

Leo can sustain a nomination slot just like the big dogs. She may not be a big name, but she is a seasoned and highly experienced actor. Though mostly known for T.V. work, she was terrific in "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada" and "21 Grams", starring fellow nominee Sean Penn. This reminds me of when Ryan Gosling got nominated for Half Nelson. Kudos to Oscar® for giving

I love this lady. She is fantatic. This is an actor in every sense of the word. From soaps to oscar worthyness. I will be so happy if she wins even though I love Meryl Streep. Leo can hold her own though with the rest of the competition.

Very solid film. Leo gives a great performance but in my opinion Jolie, Winslet, and Streep were much better. I have yet to see Rachel Getting Married.
