  When Michael Shannon shows up in REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, to uncover the misery of the wheelers, we know the trouble this couple is passing through will not end up right. His impulsiveness to tell the truth, no matter what, leaves us breathless, specially when we can see Winslet reaction at that moment, and her outcome. It's the definition of a supporting character: he supports and impulses the film.

  Michael Shannon has always been a terrific character actor in film and T.V. He's appeared in many tremendous roles like in the little seen "Shotgun Stories". Though he's never had the high time exposure he's gotten with Revolutionary Road. I hope this nomination makes people realize his great talent. Hopefully we'll see more and more of him in big-budget film.

  This guy was weird and creepy and insane and I loved it and wanted to see more. This movie was just so GOOD and its not nominated for an oscar nor is Leonardo or Kate. The oscars keep losing my respect.
