There aren't enough people who've seen or have appreciated just how amazing this performance is. Rourke and Penn were both great, definitely. But if the award were to go to the actor who truly gave the most astounding, stellar performance of the year, Langella would win it - easily. Stunning. So elevated, he is very centered and possesses the qualities all actors hope to achieve one day.

Langella is at his best as Nixon. Superb performance. I find it hard to believe Pitt was even nominated (and will probably win.)

Yes, this is my pick for best actor. Sure, he's probably the underdog but come on guys. Frank Langella is an extraordinary actor who has always been underrated. This is the performance of his career and this performance tops all of the others.
