  Streep is probably the best actress of her generation. She will be slighted again because of her age. She has more talent in her left pinky than Angelina has in her whole artificially constructed body. But, then again, Americans love mediocrity, and Streep is anything but mediocre. She excels at her craft and has a resume that few can even think of approaching. The Academy blows it again.

  I feel that Ms. Streep should win an Oscar for BOTH of her films this year!!!!!!!!!!! Mama Mia was a tough nut to crack, and, Meryl being Meryl, did it without seemingly breaking a sweat. Brava, Ms. Streep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Meryl Streep is the most talented and versatile actor that I have ever seen. I like that she totally transforms herself into the characters that she portrays. "Doubt" is the most complex and detailed performance by Meryl that I have ever seen. She is certainly deserving of the Oscar for her performance in this film.   MEryl Streep should totally win! She is the best actress, and she can be so many different charecters, and you couldn't ven tell it was her! Look at Mamma Mia and Doubt, how different could you really get! SHe is so versitile! Good Luck Meryl! Do you think that stars actually read these things? If your famous reply!

  Meryl should definitely win this year. 2 previous oscars in the late 70's/early 80's isn't enough given the superb performances she's given in 95% of the movies she's done over the past 25 years since. Her 3rd Oscar is long overdue and I really hope she wins! Not to knock her competition in the Best Actress category, but Meryl can out act all of them with one eye, one leg, one arm, AND passed out!
