  I'm not a movie goer but after I read the book i say the move. You earned this grammy and everything that goes with it. Thank you for a movies that tells a story about a specific time in history in a particular place and at the same time, tells everybody's story regardless of time and place. You are a star - a real star.

  This movie is absolutely EXCELLENT... the story is very very engaging and the actors are SUPERB.....Kate Winslet is truly above and beyond any other actress alive today.

  Bought the book two years ago at GoodWill because of the title. The Reader was a nice surprise, it was so good that I read it in less than a week. After I finished the book, I wondered why they haven't made the movie since it was published in the US back in 1997. I'm glad Kate Winslet is playing Hanna, although I pictured someone different since Hanna is a blond German in the book.
