Viola Davis

Nominee Image for Viola Davis

Viola Davis makes the most of her short screen time in "Doubt" as Mrs. Miller, the mother of a Catholic school student who may or may not have been abused. This is the first Oscar nomination for the Tony-winning actress.

I saw DOUBT, which was a much better than I expected and Miss. Davis made the most out of a relatively brief performance and more than held her own weight against the legendary Meryl Streep. Viola Davis should win this one.
