We actually might get this show in on time. In the same way they get flights in on time: they add 15 minutes to the flight schedule, then count it as departed as soon as the plane pulls away from the gate.
Still, we were promised a 3½-hour show, and with 30 minutes left, we have only three more awards to go. Barring any more needless montages, we may just get this thing back in the barn before the rooster crows (Sorry, been watching a lot of Dr. Phil lately).
As the Best Original Screenplay went to Diablo Cody for "Juno," I felt at peace with it. It really was rather clever. But then she had this schmoozy, "you're a genius" showbiz moment with Jason Reitman, and I felt kind of gross and am getting queasy thinking of Reitman making a speech instead of P.T. Anderson.
This is New York... Surely I can get Pepto Bismol delivered to me at 11:30 p.m. on Oscar Sunday, right?

I agree with korinakavanagh, Cameron just didnt look like she wanted to be there and she showed it. I too used to admire the way she always presented her self at social events but she really looked her absolute worse that night

I have to agree with all of the above...but not only Diaz, there were a few others who could have taken lessons from Heidi Klum or others who showed that this is the night for "class" not laziness.
