Another deserving Oscar: Best Editing for "The Bourne Ultimatum." This movie had frenetic action sequences but never lost its heart or its pacing. And how did "Into the Wild" even get a nomination? I can think of several scenes that could easily have been axed to make that movie better. Then again, is that on the editor or the director? Either way, it shouldn't be rewarded with a nomination.
And now, Honorary Oscar Time. Or, as it's known in most households: time to see who's winning the Oscar pool so far. And pee.
For those of you not on such a break, answer me this: why do the elder statesmen of Hollywood wear scarves with their tuxedos? Is there a draft? Did they arrive via barnstorming aeroplane?

Finally, one of my picks happened! I picked "The Counterfeiters"! Yay! Ironically, this is the only category for which I hadn't seen any of the films. However, there was a preview for it at "Persepolis" and I figured since it involved a concentration camp and was based on a true story... Oscar gold!

It's on the director, not the editor. If you don't know that, then why are you even allowed to foist your "expert" opinion upon us?
