Four Score (Live Blogging #11)

Posted Sun, Feb 24, 2008, 6:07 PM

George Clooney introduces an "80 Years of Oscar" clip package.

How curious that the Academy, once embarrassed by displays of spontaneity and protest, now celebrates them as its greatest moments. And how efforts industrywide now are focused on making sure that networks can cut away should anyone say or do anything controversial.

These are good moments.  Why must they be accompanied by Celine Dion?  I'll wait for the inevitable remix to show up online someplace.
