  Legendary movies younger people SHOULD see, the short list: Barry Lyndon, The Network, Brazil, Casablanca, Lawrence of Arabia, Ben-Hur, Spartacus, Taxi Driver, Some Like it Hot, Raging Bull, The Searchers, Unforgiven, Clockwork Orange, Deer Hunter, Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, and old Akira Kirosawa movies The Hidden Fortress, Seven Samurai, Rashomon, Yojimbo, and Ran.   Wow, who is voting on this crap? Oh yeah, a bunch of young kids with no sense of scope. If they remade this list in 20 years the Godfather, Godfather II, Schindler's List, Lawerence of Arabia, etc., would still be on the list. Return of the King will not. What a horrible outcome. This coming from a guy who owns the extended LOTR and has seen each movie at least 10 times.

  I love the LOTR trilogy, but the Godfather is just simply classic. How can you not vote for it? I can imagine the people who said the Godfather sucked are mostly teen kids who were born in the 90's, thus they prefer sucky movies such as High School Movies and Twilight more than real ART movies like the Godfather.
